Yum China's Revenue Up 4 Yoy To 3 2b In Q3

Same-store sales were up 1% YoY, whilst same-store transactions rose 4%.

Yum Chinareported a 4% year-on-year (YoY) rise in total revenue to $3.2b in the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 2025).

Operating profit increased 8% to $400m, with core operating profit also up 8%.

Same-store sales were up 1% YoY, whilst same-store transactions rose 4%, marking the company’s 11th straight quarter of growth.

Total system sales climbed 4% excluding currency effects, driven mainly by new store openings (4%) and modest same-store growth (1%).

The company added 536 net new stores in the quarter and 1,119 in the first nine months of 2025, of which 32% and 29%, respectively, were opened by franchisees.

Yum China operated 17,514 stores as of 30 September, including 12,640 KFC outlets and 4,022 Pizza Huts.

KFC’s system sales rose 5% YoY, with same-store sales up 2% and transactions up 3%.

Its operating profit reached $384m for the third quarter, up 6%.

KFC opened 402 net new stores, with 163 net new stores opened by franchisees, accounting for 41%.

Pizza Hut’s system sales grew 4%, with same-store sales up 1% and transactions surging 17%—its 11th consecutive quarter of growth.

Its operating profit rose 7% to $57m.

Pizza Hut opened 158 net new stores, with 45 net new stores opened by franchisees, accounting for 28%.
