Peter Dable, National Marketing Manager of The Cheesecake Shop talks to QSR Media about this cute Christmas treat.
QSR Media:How did you come up with the treat?
Peter:The inspiration for the Strawberry Clause came from a team member in South Australia. The original concept used fresh cream and we decided to change the recipe to use our famous continental cheesecake mix as a filling.
QSR Media:What is your expectation of the treat from a sales perspective?
Peter:Our expectation is that the Strawberry Clause will be responsible for a supply shortage of strawberries in Australia.
QSR Media:Do you have any other similar products for the Christmas season?
Peter: Strawberry Clause is the hero of the promotion however we have seven other products in the Christmas range including a gingerbread house, coconut ice, cookies, fruit mince pies, Christmas cake, a merry mudcake and a smaller version called A little Christmas
QSR Media:This is combined with a trip to New York, what marketing activities do you have planned for this?
Peter:We have a family trip to New York valued at $20,000 to be won by purchasing any product in store and entering at www.strawberryclause.com.au. The campaign will be driven by website, in-store, digital and a devoted microsite.
QSR Media:How long will the Strawberry Clause's be on sale for?
Peter:31st December. Maybe we can bring them back for a Christmas in July promotion :-)
